In this 75th anniversary year of D-Day and the Battle for Normandy, historian, author and broadcaster James Holland will be presenting a fresh overview of the campaign from its planning to its inception, dispelling a number of myths and casting new light on this most brutal fight for the liberation of Europe.

All guests of the talk are welcome to a drinks reception at the University Library following the talk, where a display of items from the Chadwyck-Healey Liberation Literature Collection will also be on display.

Please note that the talk will take place at The Gillespie Centre at Clare College. The reception is located next door at the University Library.
