A 3-Month Cycling Trip through the Andes Mountains in South America

Thu 16 May 2024

Magdalene College

Alex spent 3 months cycling through the Andes mountains in South America, crossing through Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. He wild camped along the way, sleeping everywhere from frozen mountainsides (down to -15c) to sunbaked deserts (max 45c), derelict buildings, abandoned railway wagons and many local people's floors. He rode through the world's largest desert, across the world's largest salt flats, past the world's highest volcanoes, the world's highest navigable lake, and through the world's most dangerous road. He spent 6 weeks above 3,500m altitude, topped out over 5,000m, and had a 5-day off road mountain crossing between settlements.

Please come hear about this epic trip and see Alex's exciting photos and footage.

Light refreshments and drinks provided.
