Across Europe, the USA, East Asia and Australasia, extreme weather is becoming increasingly frequent. Record temperatures, wildfires, floods, and violent storms are no longer freak events.

Speakers will discuss the long-term impacts of these alarming changes on the environment and the economy, how governments should respond, and what the opportunities are for a greener, resilient future that delivers Net Zero and economic growth.

The panel will answer your questions and discuss how the different disciplines of economics, conservation and climate science are all tackling the big questions.

Chair: Professor Emily Shuckburgh, Director of Cambridge Zero

Speakers: Dr Lynn Dicks, conservation scientist and leader of the Agroecology Research Group in the Department of Zoology

Dr Alison Ming, atmospheric scientist and Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow

Dr Matthew Agarwala, environmental economist at the Bennett Institute for Public Policy
