Join tutor Jemma Dell as she demonstrates how to create this simple hand stitched Christmas card, perfect for sending to close friends and family. In this two hour evening course you will learn eight different embroidery stitches and use these in combination with beads, a button and a piece of fabric to create a unique Christmas tree card. You can then frame your finished embroidery in its card ready to send. A kit containing everything that you need to make the card will be posted to you in advance of the course.
Suitable for beginners.
Jemma has been sewing since she was taught by her mother as a child, coming to the fibre arts in more recent years after keeping sheep on her smallholding in rural Cambridgeshire. After 25 years as a primary school teacher she loves to pass these skills on to others and teaches a wide range of classes and courses, and works with numerous textile techniques covering sewing, spinning and weaving.
Please note this is an online course. No specialist software is required to participate, but a device with a microphone and webcam will be needed. Full joining instructions will be emailed a few days before the date of the course.
