A unique programme putting together two of Bach’s cello Suites
alongside Britten's ground-breaking Suite no. 1. The programme
illuminates the highly experimental nature of the solo Suites by Bach,
and the way they inspired and paved the way to 20th century cello solo
works that followed, especially Britten's masterpiece.
