Cambridge University Botanic Garden Adult courses online 2020
Fri 28 August 2020
Cambridge University Botanic Garden
Urban gardens have become central to so many of our lives of the last few months and yet they have so often been neglected in garden histories.
This morning course will celebrate these personal spaces as both private sanctuaries and social benefit, from pollution busters of the 17th century to complex social status of ‘Metroland’ and the green revolution of the 1970s: exploring their role in culture and their portrayal in art and literature from the 17th century to the modern day.
Cost: £20
