Pathways to net zero emissions and carbon/climate neutrality
Tue 29 June 2021 - Wed 30 June 2021
online
Many countries have now set targets for net zero emissions, or carbon/climate neutrality, by the middle of this century. However, the pathways to achieving targets for net zero emissions and carbon/climate neutrality have yet to be clearly set out, and substantive research and analysis on which to base them is still required. As countries now work on their plans for such pathways, the GAUC is holding this virtual event at which researchers from member institutions present their latest research findings on this issue, and discuss the implications of their results for policymakers.
This virtual event consists of pre-recorded presentations by researchers at member institutions of the GAUC, and two live discussion sessions on Tuesday 29 June and Wednesday 30 June 2021.
Day 1 of the live discussion sessions will take place between 11:00 and 14:00 British Summer Time on Tuesday 29 June 2021.
Day 2 of the live discussion sessions will take place between 12:00 and 14:00 British Summer Time on Wednesday 30 June 2021.
The pre-recorded presentations will be accessible via the event website from the week commencing 15 June 2021.
