Java Minute Lecture Series: Location, Location, Location (of immune cells) with Jacqueline Siu

Wed 6 February 2019

Newnham College

We know our immune system fights off infections, but what does the immune system do when we are not sick? With tens of trillions of microorganisms residing in the gut of healthy individuals, our immune system is hard at work making sure this ~2kg microbiota population thrive while still preventing potential future infections. Come out to this talk, and I’ll explain how our gut immune system is important and why we still do not know what “healthy” means.
