Book launch: Tabac Blond by Christopher Moncrieff

Thu 14 November 2019

Harriet Truscott

Christopher Moncrieff is launching Tabac Blond, a new, illustrated collection of his poetry drawn from the 1980s through to 2018. It is published by Caparison Books, a small, left-leaning, radical press edited by the controversial poet, Alan Morrison. The illustrations have been done by Emily Carrington Freeman, a talented young portraitist who graduated from Balliol College, Oxford and the Ruskin School of Art in 2017, and who also has close family connections with Newnham.

The launch will begin with a lively introduction by College Fellow, Dr Jenny Mander, followed by a reading of selected poems by Newnham English student and prize-winning poet, Riona Millar, accompanied on the flute by Louise Wells of Christs.
