Space scientist Maggie Aderin-Pocock will be joining Kayla on stage to discuss all things space and take your questions. What will you ask?!

Meet Kayla Barron

Kayla Barron is an American NASA astronaut, engineer and member of the first class of women commissioned into the submarine community as a Submarine Warfare Officer. A Gates Cambridge Scholar, she earned a master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Cambridge.

In 2017, Kayla was selected by NASA to join the 2017 Astronaut Candidate Class where she served as a member of the NASA SpaceX Crew-3 mission to the International Space Station spending 177 days in orbit.

Meet Maggie Aderin-Pocock

Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock is a space scientist, science communicator and presenter of the BBC’s The Sky at Night. She completed a PhD in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1994, after an undergraduate degree in Physics also at Imperial. She is Managing Director of Science Innovation Ltd, through which she organises public engagement activities which show school children and adults the wonders of space.
