Thu 16 July 2020
Botanic Garden
A half-day workshop exploring the lives of trees through a selection of their uses.
Trees have been used throughout history and up to the present day for a vast array of purposes, utilising most parts of the tree from the heartwood to the leaves
They provide us with materials for building things and making things, with food and drink to sustain us and with medicinal compounds to keep us healthy – and sometimes to harm each other.
Using 12 trees from the Botanic Garden’s collection, the session will consider what these uses can teach us about the trees, and about ourselves! We will also visit the trees in their Garden habitat.
Cost: £35
