Art Club for 8–12 year olds
Thu 2 May 2019
Kettle's Yard House and Gallery
Work with our team of artists and volunteers in this hands-on afterschool art club, starting on 2 May. Artist Rachel McGivern will work with the young participants to decide the range of techniques and materials that they will use across the programme.
Previous sessions included screen-printing, block-printing, drawing and animation workshops all inspired by the Kettle’s Yard collection and exhibitions.
Art Club is about young people learning art skills and leading their own varied course. They will discover new works of art each week following what their collective interests are. Each week they will make art work to take home and all participants will have art work displayed in an exhibition in the Learning Studio at the end of the programme.
Tickets are £75 (£60 concessions) for 8 weeks (break for half term), booking required
Please note, parents and carers are required to drop off and collect their children for each session – but don’t worry, the café is open until 5pm!
Concessions applies to children of full time students aged 16+ and those receiving universal credit or income support benefits.
