Literary Lunch: Martin Bell in conversation with Stephen Chittenden

Mon 19 June 2017

Institute of Continuing Education

Enjoy lunch with a glass of wine in Madingley Hall's spectacular Dining Hall and listen to former BBC war correspondent and MP, Martin Bell discussing his new book, 'War and the Death of News, Reflections of a Grade B Reporter'.

In this compelling account, one of the outstanding journalists of our time provides a moving, personal account of war and issues an impassioned call to put the substance back in our news.

He will be discussing the changes in how we receive and respond to news with fellow BBC reporter Stephen Chittenden, a graduate of the Institute of Continuing Education’s Master’s in Creative Writing.

Tickets are £25 per person. Signed copies of the book will be available to buy at the event from Toppings, Ely’s famous independent bookseller.
