Professor Melvyn John Hatcher, M.A., Litt.D., FAcSS, Life Fellow and formerly Vice-Master, Tutor and Director of Studies in History of Corpus Christi College, Emeritus Professor of Economic and Social History, died on 13 June 2026, aged 84 years.

Professor Rosamond Deborah McKitterick, M.A., Ph.D., Litt.D., FRHistS, FRSA, FSA, Fellow and former Vice‑Master of Sidney Sussex College, formerly Fellow, Vice-Principal and Director of Studies in Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic of Newnham College, Professor Emerita of Medieval History and sometime Director of Research, Faculty of History, former President of the Ecclesiastical History Society, Heineken Prizewinner, died on 13 June 2026, aged 77 years.
