Professor Paul Charles Hewett, M.A., Life Fellow of and Tutor for Advanced Students of Corpus Christi College, Emeritus Professor of Observational Cosmology and Astrophysics, former Director of the Institute of Astronomy, sometime Vice-President of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, died on 4 June 2026, aged 69 years.

David Hockney, OM, CH, (Hon.) Litt.D., RA, winner of the Shakespeare Prize and the Praemium Imperiale, artist, died on 11 June 2026, aged 88 years.

Richard Ernest McConnel, Ph.D., Fellow and formerly College Lecturer, Supervisor and Director of Studies in Engineering, Director of Studies in Management Studies, Tutor and Junior Bursar of St John’s College, sometime University Lecturer in the Department of Engineering, died on 13 June 2026, aged 78 years.
