The following election, appointments and grants of title have been made:
Professor Paul Lehner, DAR, FRS, F.Med.Sci., B.Sc., M.B.B.S., UCL, Ph.D., University of Wales, Professor of Immunology and Medicine, Department of Medicine, elected Sheila Joan Smith Professor of Immunology with effect from 1 June 2024.
Engineering. Dr Karel Kruger, B.Eng., M.Sc.Eng., Ph.D., Stellenbosch, appointed from 2 May 2024 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years.
Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic. Dr Dale John Kedwards, B.A., Birmingham, M.A., Nottingham, Ph.D., York, appointed from 1 September 2024 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years.
Land Economy. Dr Lovleen Bhullar, B.A., LL.B., National Law School of India University, LL.M., Ph.D., SOAS, M.Sc., LSE, appointed from 1 September 2024 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of five years.
University Offices (Academic Division). Ms Joanne Elizabeth Farmer, appointed from 11 June 2024 until the retiring age and subject to a probationary period of eight months.
English. Dr Annja Neumann, M, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 April 2024 until 31 March 2026.
Geography. Dr Howard Nelson, LC, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2023 for a further two years.
