Professor Brian Arthur Thrush, M.A., Ph.D., Sc.D., FRS, Life Fellow and formerly Acting Master, Vice-Master and Tutor of Emmanuel College, Emeritus Professor of Physical Chemistry, Tilden Prizewinner and Polanyi Medallist, died on 14 September 2023, aged 95 years.

Professor Robert Michael Henderson, M.A., FBPhS, Life Fellow, formerly Senior Tutor, College Lecturer in Medicine, Tutor for Admissions in Science and Fellows’ Steward of Emmanuel College, Professor of Macromolecular Pharmacology, died on 10 December 2023, aged 66 years.

John Horace Williams, M.A., By-Fellow of Hughes Hall, sometime Esquire Bedell and formerly Principal Assistant Registrary (University Safety Adviser) in the General Board Division (now the Academic Division) of the University Offices, died on 17 December 2023, aged 87 years.

Professor Christopher John Burgoyne, M.A., MICE, FIStructE, Life Fellow and formerly Tutor of Emmanuel College, member of St John’s College, Emeritus Professor of Structural Engineering, died on 2 January 2024, aged 73 years.
