Graces

Graces submitted to the Regent House on 28 September 2020

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, unless they are withdrawn or a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 105), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 9 October 2020. Further information on requests for a ballot or the amendment of Graces is available to members of the Regent House on the Regent House Petitions site.§

1. That the Annual Report of the Council for the academic year 2018–19, dated 13 November 2019 (Reporter, 6573, 2019–20, p. 194), be approved.1

2. That Recommendation I in paragraph 6 of the Report of the Council, dated 16 March 2020, on updates to the University’s freedom of speech documentation (Reporter, 6582, 2019–20, p. 425) be approved.2

3. That Recommendation II in paragraph 6 of the Report of the Council, dated 16 March 2020, on updates to the University’s freedom of speech documentation (Reporter, 6582, 2019–20, p. 425) be approved.2

4. That Regulation 2 of the regulations for the Richard Norman Scholarship Fund (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 935) be amended to read as follows:3

2. The Managers of the Fund shall be the Head of the Department of Engineering (who shall be Chair), the Deputy Head of Department with responsibility for postgraduate studies, and one person appointed by the Faculty Board of Engineering.^[1]

^[1] The Faculty Board of Engineering has agreed to appoint the Head of Division B in the Department of Engineering until further notice.
