Regulations for examinations

Economics for the M.Phil. Degree: Correction

(Statutes and Ordinances, p. 533)

With immediate effect

The General Board, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board of Economics, had approved an amendment to the regulations for the examination in Economics for the degree of Master of Philosophy by advanced study which was mistakenly omitted from the notice published on 31 October 2018 (Reporter, 6524, 2018–19, p. 89). The amendment to Regulation 1(b) gives students the option to choose either a dissertation or an additional optional module, and has been made with immedate effect as set out below.

Regulation 1(b).

By amending the regulation to read as follows:

(b)either

  (i)a dissertation of at least 8,000 and not more than 10,000 words in length, based on material from one of the optional modules not already chosen or on a subject approved by the Degree Committee; or

  (ii)one additional optional module.
