Graces

Grace submitted to the Regent House on 20 January 2016

The Council submits the following Grace to the Regent House. This Grace, unless it is withdrawn or a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 29 January 2016.

1. That the regulation for the Council concerning reserved business (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 113) be amended so as to read:1

Under the provisions of Special Ordinance A (vii) 5 proposals for the conferment of degrees or titles of degrees, and any matter which would for a Faculty Board be reserved business under the provisions of Regulation 11 of the General Regulations for the Constitution of the Faculty Boards, shall be reserved business for the Council, and shall apply to any member of the Council in class (d) who is not in statu pupillari as if he or she were in statu pupillari.

Graces to be submitted to the Regent House at a Congregation to be held on 23 January 2016

The Council has sanctioned the submission of the following Graces to the Regent House at a Congregation to be held on Saturday, 23 January 2016.

The the following persons be admitted to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by incorporation:

2. Veronika Fikfak, Fellow of Homerton College, Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Oxford (2012).

3. Edoardo Gallo, Fellow of Queens’ College and University Lecturer in the Department of Economics, Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Oxford (2011).

4. Paul Thomas Griffiths, Fellow of Robinson College, Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Oxford (2002).

That the following person be admitted to the degree of Master of Arts by incorporation:

5. Jacqueline Ashley, President of Lucy Cavendish College, Master of Arts of the University of Oxford (2015).

That the following persons be admitted to the degree of Master of Arts under the provisions of Statute B II 2:

6. Michael David Edward Bardouceau, Computer Officer in the University Information Services.

7. Michael Richard Griib, Administrative Officer in the Finance Division of the University Offices.

8. Ian Alexander McFarland, Regius Professor of Divinity and Fellow of Selwyn College.

9. Gotthelf Wiedermann, of St John’s College, Under-librarian in the University Library.
