Events

Corpus Christi College: Professor Christopher Rowland, Dean Ireland’s Professor of Exegesis of Holy Scripture, The Queen’s College, Oxford, will give the 2016 Boutwood Lecture, entitled William Blake, the Bible, and politics: ‘Religion and politics is the same thing? Brotherhood is religion’, at 5 p.m. on Thursday, 25 February 2016, in the McCrum Lecture Theatre, Corpus Christi College.

Funeral Notices

Clare Hall: A funeral service for Professor Geoffrey Hawthorn (see p. 318) will take place at Clare Hall at 4 p.m. on Monday, 18 January 2016. There will be a reception following the service, also at the College.

Burial will take place at 2 p.m. on the same day at the Arbory Trust Woodland Burial Ground, Comberton Road, Barton. Those wishing to attend the burial, which is open to all, should come with appropriate footwear as the burial ground is extremely muddy.

Gonville and Caius College: The funeral of Professor Christopher Brooke (see p. 318) will take place in the Chapel at Gonville and Caius College at 1 p.m. on Monday, 18 January 2016.
