The African Society of Cambridge presents the first-ever event commemorating Africa Day in Cambridge. The event will be held on 23 May 2014 at the Cambridge Union Society, and will be themed Africa together. The event will feature talks by African contemporaries across a range of topics, as well as music, fashion, arts, and food. Further information is available at http://www.africatogether.org.uk/.
A meeting of the Friends of Cambridge University Library will be held on Thursday, 29 May 2014, at 5.30 p.m., in the Milstein Seminar Rooms, University Library, West Road, at which University Librarian Emeritus Peter Fox will give a talk entitled Trinity College Library, Dublin: collectors, copyright, and criminals in Georgian Dublin.
