Notice of a Discussion on Tuesday, 18 March 2014

The Vice-Chancellor invites those qualified under the regulations for Discussions (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 103) to attend a Discussion in the Senate-House, on Tuesday, 18 March 2014, at 2 p.m. for the discussion of:

1. Joint Report of the Council and the General Board, dated 4 March and 5 February 2014, on student membership of the two bodies (see p. 424).

2. Report of the General Board, dated 28 February 2014, on the establishment of a Readership in Transfusion Medicine (see p. 428).

Awards for overseas students, 2013–14

Information regarding awards for overseas students will no longer be published as a Reporter Special; instead, detailed information will be published on the trusts’ websites, as outlined below.

Cambridge Commonwealth, European and International Trust

A report detailing the awards made by the Cambridge Commonwealth, European and International Trust to students coming into residence in the academical year 2013–14 has now been published on the Trust’s website at http://www.cambridgetrust.org/scholars/. Tables containing comparisons with previous years’ awards are also available on this site.

The Trust was established on 1 August 2013 and was formed from the merger of the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust and the Cambridge Overseas Trust. It has made 515 new awards to students from 71 countries coming into residence in October 2013; further details are provided on the website above.

Gates Cambridge

For October 2013, Gates Cambridge made 92 new awards to students from 23 countries. For the first time, two Scholarships were awarded to citizens of Egypt.
