Graces

Graces submitted to the Regent House on 13 March 2013

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, unless they are withdrawn or a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 22 March 2013.

1. That, with effect from 1 September 2013, the Table of Fees attached to the regulations for University Composition Fees (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 158) be amended as set out in the Schedule to the Council’s Notice dated 11 March 2013 (p. 396).

2. That the regulations for the Centre for Advanced Religious and Theological Studies (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 610) be rescinded with effect from 30 September 2013.1

3. That in Regulations 2(c) for the Hartwell Fund for Islamic Studies, for the Study of Religion Fund, and for the Sheikh Zayed Fund for Islamic Studies (Statutes and Ordinances, pp. 832, 955, and 1000) references to the Director of the Centre for Advanced Religious and Theological Studies be replaced with references to a member of the Faculty Board of Divinity appointed by that Board with effect from 30 September 2013.1

4. That an increase of 3.1% and 11% respectively to the current stipends of the Proctors and Esquire Bedells be approved with effect from 1 October 2013.2

  • 1The Faculty Board of Divinity has agreed to suppress the Centre for Advanced Religious and Theological Studies and to replace its functions with a Director of Research in the Faculty who will chair the Faculty’s research committee. 


  • 2These increases reflect the extension to the duties of the Proctors and Esquire Bedells following approval of the proposal to extend General Admission over four days (Grace 1 of 13 February 2013).
