Statute approved: Notice

16 April 2012

The Registrary has received notice from the Clerk at the Privy Council Office that Her Majesty the Queen, at a Council held on 11 April 2012, was pleased to approve the amendment of Statute D which was submitted under the Common Seal of the University in accordance with Grace 14 of 13 July 2011. The purpose of the amendment to Statute D, XIV, 1 is to include reference to the new Regius Professorship of Engineering which was established to commemorate the tenure of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh as Chancellor of the University. (See the Report of the Council and the General Board, dated 13 June and 17 June 2011, on the establishment of a Regius Professorship of Engineering (Reporter, 2010–11, p. 956).)

Notice of a Discussion on Tuesday, 24 April 2012

The Vice-Chancellor invites those qualified under the regulations for Discussions (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107) to attend a Discussion in the Senate-House, on Tuesday, 24 April 2012, at 2 p.m., for the discussion of the following Topic of concern (see Reporter, 2011–12, p. 516):

The selective and unreasonable punishment of a single student for a collective act of protest by students and senior members.

The Vice-Chancellor invites those qualified under the regulations for Discussions (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107) to attend a Discussion in the Senate-House, on Tuesday, 1 May 2012, at 2 p.m., for the discussion of the Report of the General Board, dated 7 March 2012, on the establishment of a Professorship of General Practice (Reporter, 2011–12, p. 500).

Queen’s Diamond Jubilee arrangements: Amendment

The Fitzwilliam Museum Syndicate give notice that the days when the Museum will be open on 4 and 5 June announced on p. 305 of the Reporter have been amended. The Museum will be open on the Spring Bank Holiday, Monday, 4 June, 2012, from 12 noon to 5 p.m., but will be closed on Tuesday, 5 June, 2012.
