Applications are invited for a University Lectureship in Astrophysics at the Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge. The research profile of the Institute spans an extensive range of astrophysics, from exoplanet science through to theoretical and observational work in cosmology. Applications are sought from candidates in any field of astronomy that strengthens, or complements, the current research interests of the Institute. Candidates are expected to have a record of excellence in research, a commitment to teaching astrophysics at advanced undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and a willingness to contribute to the future development of the Institute.
The position is available from 1 October 2011 or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment at University Lectureship level will be permanent, subject to a probationary period of five years.
