Graces

Graces submitted to the Regent House on 9 June 2010

The Council submits the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 107), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 18 June 2010.

1. That the Table of Fees attached to the regulations for University Composition Fees (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 161) be amended, with effect from 1 September 2010, with reference to Channel Islands and Isle of Man students as follows:1

2. That the regulations for University Composition Fees, as amended by Grace 1 of 12 May 2010, be further amended as follows:2

TABLE OF FEES

With effect from 1 September 2010

(A) By replacing at each occurrence in Table 1 in the Schedule to the Council’s Notice on p. 816 the figure of £3,468 by the figure of £3,465 in the list of certain Home/EU and Island M.Phil., M.Res., Eng.D., Ph.D., M.Sc., and M.Litt. Degree courses, Certificates of Postgraduate Study, and Diplomas in Groups 2 and 4.

(B) By amending certain entries as follows:

M.Phil. Degree: Courses leading to examination in

By replacing the figure of £4,488 for Home/EU/Channel Isles/Isle of Man students by the figure of £9,825.

Ed.D. Degree

By replacing the figure of £2,034 for Home/EU/Channel Isles/Isle of Man by the figure of £2,079.

3. That the Professorship of Philosophy (1896) be retitled as the Bertrand Russell Professorship of Philosophy and that the regulations for the Fund attached to the Professorship be amended accordingly.3

The Table of Fees has been amended to take account of further information from the Research Councils with respect to Home/EU postgraduate fees. The fees for the course in Real Estate Management for the M.Phil. Degree and for the Ed.D. Degree and B.Th. Degree were incorrectly set out in the table published on 12 May and have been corrected here. The fees for Island students following courses for the M.A.St. have been revised as set out in Grace 1 above.
