Notices By The General Board

Frank Ramsey Professorship of Economics: Notice

The Frank Ramsey Professorship of Economics becomes vacant on 1 October 2010. The General Board consulted the Faculty Board of Economics and the Council of the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences as to whether the vacancy should be filled but these bodies did not reach a decision within the statutory timeframe for the Board to take action under Statute D, XV, 18. In consideration of a wider strategic review of vacancies taking place at the School and under the provisions of Statute D, XV, 18 (a)(iii), the General Board have recommended to the Council that the period of consultation be extended to 1 May 2011.

The Council has agreed to submit a Grace to the Regent House (Grace 4, p. 540) to extend the period of consultation for the Professorship.

The Council has agreed to submit a Grace to the Regent House (Grace 5, p. 540) to discontinue the Professorship temporarily from this date.
