Notice of benefactions

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that she has accepted with gratitude the following benefactions:

(i) donations amounting to approximately £125,000 in total to date, which have been received in memory of Professor Peter Lipton, first Hans Rausing Professor of History and Philosophy of Science and Fellow of King's College;

(ii) a gift of approximately £12,000 which has been contributed by subscribers to establish a Michael Loewe Prize in honour of Dr Michael Loewe, formerly Lecturer in Chinese Studies and Fellow of Clare Hall.

The Council is submitting Graces to the Regent House (Graces 1 and 2, pp. 824-25) for the approval of regulations to govern the Funds and Prize.
