The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that she has received with gratitude a benefaction of £350,000 from Dr Martin C. Faulkes to celebrate the University's 800th anniversary by contributing to the cost of casting and installing a new ring of bells for Great St Mary's, the University Church, and maintaining these and the existing bells in the church.
The Council is submitting a Grace (Grace 1, p. 445) to approve regulations to govern the proposed Martin C. Faulkes Fund.
