Notice of benefactions

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that she has accepted with gratitude donations amounting to approximately £545,000 in total to date, which have been contributed by subscribers to the Squire Law Library Appeal.

The Council is submitting a Grace to the Regent House (Grace 1, p. 966) for the approval of regulations to govern the Appeal Fund.

The Vice-Chancellor gives notice that she has received with gratitude a generous benefaction of £2m from the David and Elaine Potter Foundation to establish the David and Elaine Potter Fund for Human Rights and Governance. The Fund will support the David and Elaine Potter Lectureship in Human Rights and Governance, focused in particular on human rights in Africa, in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. The Lecturer will serve as the Director of an interdisciplinary Centre for Human Rights and Governance which will be based in the Faculty.

The Council is submitting a Grace to the Regent House (Grace 2, p. 966) for the approval of regulations to govern the benefaction.
