The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, the regulations for certain University examinations have been amended as follows:

A new paper in Ukrainian has been introduced and the title of Paper Gr. 3 has been amended. Paper Gr. 3 has been added to the list of papers announced as constituting a language under Regulation 24(a)(iv) and 24(b)(iii) (see Reporter, p. 401). The amendment to Regulation 24 will first affect candidates who are taking Part II of the Tripos in 2010 and whose oral examinations for Part II will take place in September 2009. The regulations and schedules have been amended as follows:
Regulation 24(a)(iv) and (b)(iii).
By inserting in the last line 'Gr. 3' after 'Du. 5'.
SCHEDULE B
By amending the title of Paper Gr. 3 from 'The beginnings of modern Greek literature, 1100-1453 to 'Introduction to modern Greek language and culture'.
This paper will in future be available to candidates for Part IB of the Tripos only.
By introducing a new Paper Uk. 1 entitled 'Introduction to the language, literature, and culture of Ukraine'.
This paper will be available to candidates for Parts IB and II of the Tripos.

By adding the following footnote to Paper Du. 5:
No candidate may offer more than one of Papers Du. 5, Gr. 3, Pg. 3, Sp. 10, or Uk. 1 in any one year.
