Graces submitted to the Regent House on 10 November 2004

The Council submit the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, other than any which is withdrawn or for which a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 105), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 19 November 2004.

1. That Mr Nigel W. Brown, Chairman, N.W. Brown Group Ltd, be appointed a member of the Council in class (e) to serve from 1 January 2005 for four years.1

2. That Lord Simon of Highbury, CAI, be appointed a member of the Council in class (e) to serve from 1 January 2005 for four years.2

He has agreed to chair the Council's Audit Committee, and, subject to approval of this Grace, the Council have appointed him to chair this Committee. The appointment of the proposed internal deputy chairman of the Audit Committee will be announced later.
