Appointments and grants of title

The following appointments and grants of title have been made:

Appointments

University Lecturer

Social Anthropology. Dr Yael Navaro-Yashin, N, appointed from 1 October 2003 for three years.

Resident

Clinical Veterinary Medicine. Ms Lucy Jane Davison, M.A., Vet.M.B., N, MRCVS, appointed Resident in Small Animal Medicine from 1 February 2004 for three years.

Heads of Departments/Directors of Centres

Family Research. Professor Martin Paul Meredith Richards, T, appointed from 1 January 2004 until 30 September 2007.

Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Professor Gordon Campbell Sinclair Smith appointed from 1 January 2004 for five years.

Other Languages. Dr David William Holton, SE, appointed from 1 January 2004 for four years.

Politics. Professor Geoffrey Patrick Hawthorn, CLH, appointed from 1 January 2004 for two years.

International Studies. Dr Julie Elizabeth Smith, R, appointed from 1 January 2004 for five years.

Assistant Treasurer

University Offices (Research Services Division). Mr Richard Lamont-Abrams appointed from 27 February 2004 until the retiring age.

Administrative Officer

University Offices (Finance Division). Miss Tina Jane Huish, B.A., Central Lancashire, appointed Administrative Officer, Grade II, from 9 February 2004 until the retiring age.

Italian. Dr Olivia Santovetti, CC, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2003 for two years.

Slavonic Studies. Dr Diane Ella Oenning Thompson, R, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2003 for a further two years.

Social and Political Sciences. Dr Nick Baylis, JE, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2003 for two years.

Spanish and Portuguese. Dr Stuart Davis, G, and Miss Anna Sánchez Rufat, CC, have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2003 for two years. Dr Elizabeth Anne Drayson, NH, Mrs Roberta Ann Frost, K, Ms Cristina Alexandra Miguel, Dr María del Carmen Olmedilla Herrero, TH, and Ms Erica Monica Simona Segre, T, have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer for a further two years. Dr Rosemary Corrie Clark, DOW, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 January 2004 for a further two years.
