Professorship of Mathematical Physics (1978): Notice

The Board of Electors to the Professorship of Mathematical Physics (1978) invite applications for this Professorship in succession to H. K. Moffatt, FRS, and J. M. Stone. The Professorship will be held in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics and candidates' principal research interests should be in some area of Astrophysics. It is hoped that the successful candidate will take up appointment by 1 October 2004. The appointment will be subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the University.
