Members of the University in statu pupillari who are or intend to be candidates for the Economics Tripos, and Graduate Students undertaking advanced study or research in the field of Political Economy, are invited to apply to the Managers of the Suzy Paine Fund for a grant towards the cost of travel to and in Asia in connection with their studies.
An application must fully explain the purpose for which a grant is needed and must include a statement of likely expenses and of any other sources of assistance to which application has been made, together with the name and address of at least one referee familiar with the applicant's academic work who has been asked to write direct to the Faculty Administrative Officer. Applications and references should reach the Faculty Administrative Officer, Faculty of Economics and Politics, Austin Robinson Building, Sidgwick Avenue, Cambridge, CB3 9DD, by 1 May 2004. Successful applicants will be required to submit to the Managers a brief written report on their return.
