On Thursday, 22 May, at the Church of St Edward King and Martyr, on the occasion of the 90th Birthday of Professor Sir William Hawthorne, the following members of the Engineering Department (CUED) and of Churchill College (CHU) rang a Quarter-Peal of 1260 Changes of Grandsire Doubles. Sir William was formerly Head of the Department of Engineering and Master of Churchill College.
