Dr Eileen Rubery, CB, will give the Richmond lecture, entitled From Sellafield to CJD - handling uncertainty: telling the truth, in the Howard Building, at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, 20 November. All those who are interested are welcome to attend. Dr Eileen Rubery was at the centre of policy making in the Department of Health, handling issues such as the Chernobyl nuclear accident, Salmonella, HIV/AIDS, MMR vaccine policy, and BSE/CJD, including supporting the BSE Inquiry. In her lecture she will consider how Government and the public perceive these crises differently.
