Selwyn College

RAMSAY MURRAY LECTURE 2002

Professor Lawrence Freedman, of King's College, London, will deliver this year's Ramsay Murray Lecture, entitled America's war on terrorism: when did it begin and will it ever end? on Friday, 26 April, at 5.30 p.m. in the Little Hall, Sidgwick Site.

COLLEGE LIBRARIAN

Applications are invited for the office of College Librarian (Grade B, £19,681 to £26,491) to take up the appointment preferably no later than 17 June. The successful candidate will be a graduate with suitable professional qualifications and experience. The College is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic professional to continue the modernization of the Library and its associated services in accordance with the needs of the twenty-first century.

The Librarian has overall responsibility for the administration of an academic library principally serving undergraduates, but also graduates, senior members of the College, and visiting scholars. As well as having responsibility for developing the collections, both traditional and electronic, the Librarian will be expected to take an active part in the continuing development of IT applications and reader services generally.
