Pembroke College

BURSAR

This is a new, senior post. Arising from a review of Pembroke's non-academic structure, the post will carry responsibility for the financial affairs of the College and the whole of its non-academic administration. The Bursar will be a Fellow of the College, responsible to the Governing Body and operating closely with the Master and other officers. The appointee will be expected to exercise active leadership in the management of the College. In addition, the Bursar will play a key role in developing and implementing strategy for the future.

Candidates should have appropriate and varied senior managerial experience (not necessarily in the academic world). The ability to work effectively with Fellows and staff and to develop a good relationship with students will be essential.

Candidates should write by 31 January 2002, enclosing a curriculum vitae and the names of three referees to the Master, Pembroke College, Oxford, OX1 1DW, from whom further particulars may be obtained.
