The Faculty Board of History give notice that they have amended their announcement of subjects for Part II of the Historical Tripos, 2002 (Reporter, 1999-2000, pp. 719-20 and p. 931) as follows:
By amending the title of Paper 13
from | law and society in England, c. 1250-1500 |
to | law and disorder in England, c. 1250-1500 |
By amending the title of Paper 24
from | The cultures of Britain in the long eighteenth century |
to | Culture and identity in Britain's long eighteenth century |
Candidates for Part II in 2002, who have previously taken Part I of the Historical Tripos and who did not offer in that Part a paper falling mainly in the period before 1750, may meet the requirement to take a pre-1750 paper in Part II (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 298) by offering one of the Special Subjects A, B, C, D, and E, or by offering Paper 3 or one of the Papers 12, 13, 14, and 16, as previously announced.
Candidates for Part II in 2002, who have previously taken Part I of the Historical Tripos and who did not offer in that Part a paper in European History, may meet the requirement to take a European History paper in Part II by offering one of the Papers 8, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20, as previously announced.
The Faculty Board are satisfied that no candidate's preparation will be adversely affected by these amendments.
