REGULATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS: NOTICE BY THE GENERAL BOARD

The General Board give notice that, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board or other authority concerned, they have approved amendments of the regulations for certain University examinations, as follows:

Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos, Parts IA and IB

Schedule C for Parts IA and IB of the Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos (Statutes and Ordinances, pp. 335 and 337) has been amended as set out below. These amendments are a consequence of the changes in the Classical Tripos (see Reporter, p. 715) and are as follows:

SCHEDULE C

With effect from 1 October 2000.

By replacing Papers GL 4 and 5 with the following papers:

GL 4. Greek and Latin texts (Paper 5 of the Preliminary Examination for Part I of the Classical Tripos).

GL 5. Classical questions (Paper 6 of the Preliminary Examination for Part I of the Classical Tripos).

With effect from 1 October 2001.

(A) By retitling Paper GL 11 as follows:

GL 11. Alternative passages for translation from Greek authors (Paper 2 of Part I of the Classical Tripos).

(B) By removing from Paper GL 12 the text in parentheses.
