Announcement of lectures and seminars

The following lectures and seminars will be open to members of the University and others who are interested:

Chemistry. Dr Hermann Hauser, of Amadeus Capital Partners, will talk on Entrepreneurship in academia, at a departmental seminar at 5 p.m. on Friday, 2 June, in LT2, Department of Chemistry, Lensfield Road. A wine reception will follow.

Clinical Veterinary Medicine. Dr J. Price, of University College London, will give a Tea Club lecture, entitled Deer antlers: a unique system for exploring the mechanisms of regeneration, at 4.30 p.m. on Wednesday, 7 June, in Lecture Theatre 1, Department of Clinical Veterinary Medicine, Madingley Road. Tea will be available at 4 p.m. in the Senior Common Room.

Social and Political Sciences and Centre of Latin-American Studies. A joint lunch-time seminar, entitled Democracy, law, and comparative politics, will be given by Professor Guillermo O'Donnell, of the University of Notre Dame, at 1 p.m. on Friday, 9 June, in Seminar Room G2, Department of Social Anthropology, Free School Lane. Professor O'Donnell's paper is available for photocopying from the Faculty Office, Social and Political Sciences and from the Centre of Latin-American Studies.
