AWiSE (Association for Women in Science and Engineering): Cambridge Branch

An open meeting with the University's Women in SET Initiative will be held at 5.15 p.m. on Monday, 22 May, in Room W2.02, Judge Institute of Management Studies, Trumpington Street. Professor Gillian Gehring, of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Sheffield, will speak on Where have all the women gone? Retaining women in science; and Dr Judith Glover, Reader in the School of Sociology and Social Policy, University of Surrey Roehampton (author of Women and Scientific Employment), will speak on Women's representation in scientific employment: why does it matter?. The meeting will be followed by supper at the University Centre for those who are interested.
