Jesus College

NINE-HOUR STIPENDIARY LECTURERSHIP IN HISTORY

Jesus College proposes to appoint a nine-hour Stipendiary Lecturer in History for the academical years 2000-02. The Lecturer will be asked to teach the British History paper, 1500-1700 (for Moderations and Schools) and the General History paper (European History), 1400-1650 (for History Moderations). A willingness to help in the teaching of Historiography and Comparative History would be useful. The successful applicant will be expected to teach an average of nine hours a week. He or she will receive a stipend of £10,560 a year (to be reviewed from 1 April 2000), and certain common room rights.
