University Lecturer

Physics. Mr R. D. E. Saunders, Ph.D., DAR, B.Sc., Bristol, M.Sc., Leicester, appointed from 1 January 2000 to the retiring age.

Senior Technical Officers

Chemistry. Mr V. P. Ostanin, B.Sc., Novosibirsk, appointed from 1 January 2000 for five years.

Physics. Ms F. J. Blunt, M.A., Ph.D., LC, B.Sc., M.Phil., Southampton, appointed from 1 January 2000 for five years.

Computer Officer

University Offices (Management Information Services Division). Mr R. Hewson, M.A., appointed Computer Officer, Grade III, from 1 January 2000 for five years.

Acting Director

Centre of African Studies. Dr C. F. Forsyth, LL.B., Ph.D., R, B.Sc., LL.B., Natal, appointed Acting Director of the Centre of African Studies from 1 January 2000 for six months.

Assistant Director

University Biomedical Support Services. Ms J. R. Keeley, B.Vet.Med., London, MRCVS, appointed Assistant Director of the University Biomedical Support Services from 1 August 1999 for five years.
