BRISTOL-MYERS SQUIBB RESEARCH ASSOCIATE IN COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY/BIOINFORMATICS

Applications are invited from Computational Biologists/Bioinformaticists for a Research Associate position whose primary objective is the construction of a novel, discrete-event simulator for metabolic pathways viewed as undirected graphs. The project is situated in the Centre for Communications Systems Research, Cambridge, and at the European Bioinformatics Institute, Hinxton, Cambridge. Applicants with a Ph.D. Degree in a relevant field of research, or qualifications in both Computer Science and the Biological Sciences are particularly welcome, but applicants with suitable qualifications in one of these areas plus significant experience in the other are also encouraged to apply. Experience in C or Python programming would also be advantageous.

Bristol-Myers Squibb sponsors this post. The appointment is for four years and the salary is in the range £16,285 to £24,479. The appointment will start in June 2000 or earlier if possible.
