Wolfson Industrial Liaison Office

INDUSTRIAL LIAISON OFFICER

An Industrial Liaison Officer is sought immediately to participate in the expansion of this Office which exists to promote collaboration between the University and industry. The work of the Office includes providing information to industry on the University's research capabilities and on opportunities for technology transfer, advising members of the University in identifying sources of industrial funding and in negotiating contract terms, and assisting members of the University in identifying, evaluating, and protecting their intellectual property, and endeavouring to secure its commercial exploitation.

Candidates should have a research background in the biosciences, physical sciences, or in engineering, and industrial experience including a good awareness of industrial needs and knowledge of the marketing and commercial exploitation of research results. Demonstrable experience of patenting, licensing, and other forms of technology transfer, and familiarity with the higher education sector would be advantageous.

The post will be for three years in the first instance at a salary of £20,107 - £31,010 a year (under review), depending on age and experience.
