The Psychology and Christianity Project hopes to appoint to the posts of Research Associate and Research Assistant, the former with effect from 1 July 1999 (or as soon as possible thereafter) and the latter with effect from 1 October 1999. Both posts will be part-time (2 days and 1.5 days a week, respectively) and for one year initially. The project aims to enhance the use the Churches make of psychological perspectives. Candidates for the Research Associate post should be postdoctoral psychologists with a record of involvement in training for the Christian ministry. Candidates for the Research Assistant post should have a record of postgraduate research on the interface of psychology and theology and will be expected to assist the Director of the Project (Dr F. N. Watts) with a broad range of academic and administrative tasks.
The current salary scale for Research Associates is £15,735 a year, rising by nine increments to £23,651. The scale for Research Assistants is £15,735 a year, rising by two increments to £17,570.
