Fitzwilliam College and Sidney Sussex College

ASSOCIATE TEACHING OFFICER IN ENGLISH

The two Colleges plan to make a joint appointment for the 1999-2000 academical year. The person appointed will be a specialist in nineteenth- and twentieth-century English Literature, with experience of undergraduate teaching and a strong research background. He or she will be required to teach eighty hours for each College during the academical year and will have a share of a teaching room in Fitzwilliam. High Table privileges will be given at both Colleges. A combined stipend of c. £5,000 will be offered, payable in nine monthly instalments from October 1999 to June 2000. The appointment, which is open to men and women, is for a one-year initial term, but may be renewable.
